Bulgari, the renowned Roman Jeweler, maintains a close, long-standing partnership with Sun Studio. THE CHALLENGE
Serving a client like Bulgari required us to surpass the highest industry standards for printing on architectural materials. The primary challenge was replicating the look of high-end, natural stone or marble onto a durable, print-friendly substrate for the store façade (as seen cladding the windows). We had to ensure unbroken visual consistency across large panels and guarantee the material was UV and weather-resistant for exterior applications. Furthermore, any panels housing the logo required perfect, even light diffusion.
OUR SOLUTION- GRADE GLASS PRINTING
As close partners, Sun Studio applied curated, personal attention to every stage of the production process, treating the façade panels with structural and visual rigor. Our solution included:
- High-Fidelity Surface Replication: Using specialized techniques to digitally reproduce the complex veining and color of natural marble/stone onto the acrylic or composite, ensuring perfect uniformity across the large façade sections.
- Exterior-Grade Durability: Utilizing weather-resistant substrates and UV-stable inks, specifically engineered for permanent outdoor display, preventing fading and warping.
- Precision Light Management: Calibrating the material thickness and print density on back-lit elements (like the area behind the logo) to ensure the iconic signage achieves perfect, homogeneous illumination.
